Where cable bundles or power cords need to pass through a blanked rack position without obstructing airflow symmetry, the Knurr 2U Vented Blanking Panel, manufactured by Extron, provides the ideal solution. A 30% perforated steel face in a 2U (88.9 mm H) form factor simultaneously fills the open slot and allows conditioned air to pass through in a controlled manner, reducing hot-spot formation around densely cabled 19" sections.

Controlled Airflow Through Occupied Positions

Unlike solid blanking panels that completely block airflow, the 30% perforation rate allows a measured volume of cooling air to pass through — critical in rack sections where cable density prevents the use of solid panels but where uncontrolled bypass air would disrupt the rack’s airflow symmetry. The result is more uniform temperature distribution across all rack positions.

Economical 5-Pack Coverage

Stamped from 1.0 mm cold-rolled steel and powder-coated RAL 7035 light-grey, each panel mounts using standard M6 cage nuts in IEC 60297-2 racks. The 5-pack covers a full 10U of rack positions, providing economical coverage for mixed-use rack sections in structured-cabling and telecom environments.
