The Knurr MIR2 (Miracel 2) 47U Network Server Rack, manufactured by Extron, is a lightweight, modular aluminum rack system purpose-built for network and server applications where floor loading is a critical constraint. Designed specifically for raised-floor environments, the MIR2 delivers exceptional flexibility and structural performance without the weight penalty of traditional steel enclosures.
Lightweight Modular Architecture
The MIR2 features a continuous T-groove aluminum extrusion frame that enables infinitely adjustable 19" mounting rail depth both front and rear — a key advantage when accommodating equipment of varying depths in a single rack. The system is rated for 8,000 N (800 kg) static load in stationary configuration, making it ideal for dense network switch and server deployments on raised floors with strict load limits.
Flexible Configuration Options
At 47U (2,200 mm H) with width options of 600 mm or 800 mm and depths from 600 to 1,200 mm, the MIR2 accommodates virtually any network or server equipment footprint. A generous 123 mm of front jumpering space supports high-density patch panel configurations, while the optional 4 mm tempered safety glass door provides equipment visibility without sacrificing security.

Optimized Airflow
The 83% perforated steel doors ensure maximum airflow through the enclosure, supporting high-density thermal loads in both free-cooling and precision air-conditioning environments. The perforation pattern is optimized for uniform airflow distribution across all rack units.
