The Knurr Wall-Mount Network Enclosure — 12U IP 54, manufactured by Extron, is rated IP 54 per IEC 60529, providing dust protection and splash resistance for network switches, patch panels, and small NAS units in environments where a full floor-standing rack is impractical. From industrial plant floors and healthcare corridors to retail back-of-house locations and outdoor-adjacent installations, this enclosure delivers reliable equipment protection where standard IP 20 enclosures fall short.

IP 54 Protection in a Wall-Mount Form Factor

The powder-coated steel body in RAL 7021 dark-grey is sealed with a compression gasket door seal that achieves IP 54 protection — rated against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The swing-out hinged glass front door opens to 180° for full front-access servicing while the enclosure remains wall-mounted, eliminating the need to remove the unit for maintenance.

Flexible Installation

With a 482.6 mm wide (19") internal mounting width and 600 mm usable depth, the enclosure accommodates standard rack-format networking equipment. A removable rear panel enables clean wall-bracket mounting with cable entry from the rear, while the static load rating of 2,000 N (≈ 204 kg) supports fully populated switch and patch panel configurations.
