Knurr 1U Rack Shelf — Fixed, 400 mm Depth

The Knurr 1U Fixed Rack Shelf, manufactured by Extron, provides a flat 482.6 mm wide × 400 mm deep steel mounting surface for housing non-rack-mount peripherals, media converters, small UPS batteries, or ancillary IT equipment in any standard 19" IEC 60297-2 rack enclosure or open-frame rack. When equipment doesn’t come in a rack-mount form factor, this shelf bridges the gap — cleanly and securely.

Robust Load Capacity

Formed from 1.5 mm cold-rolled steel and rated for a static load of 600 N (≈ 61 kg), the shelf handles media converter chassis, fiber splice trays, small UPS units, and other ancillary equipment without flex or deflection. The RAL 7021 dark-grey powder-coat finish matches Knurr DCM and MIR2 rack interiors for a consistent appearance.

Ventilated Deck Design

Integrated ventilation slots across the shelf deck allow passive airflow through stacked equipment, preventing heat buildup beneath equipment placed on the shelf surface — an important consideration in high-density rack environments where every degree of inlet temperature matters.

Standard Rack Mounting

Side flanges are punched for M6 cage nut mounting, compatible with all standard 19" IEC 60297-2 rack enclosures and open-frame racks. No additional hardware or modification is required for installation.
